  یہاں کچھ مختلف عملوں کی فہرست ہے جو استعمال کی جا سکتی ہیں۔ اس کے بعد صفحات 8 اور 9 میں اس بات کی مثالیں ہیں کہ یہ عمل صرف سات عام پودوں سے دوائیں بنانے کے لیے کس طرح استعمال ہوتے ہیں۔ یقیناً ایسے سینکڑوں مفید پودے ہیں جو استعمال کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔ ہم نے صرف چند ایک کا انتخاب کیا ہے جو بڑے پیمانے پر مشہور ہیں اور سائنسی طور پر ان کی جانچ، کوشش اور تحقیق کی گئی ہے۔

ٹھنڈے پانی کے عرق

یہ ان اجزاء کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے جو گرمی سے تباہ ہو جاتے ہیں۔ پتیوں کو چھوٹے ٹکڑوں میں کاٹنا چاہئے۔ جڑوں کو مارنا چاہئے۔ اجزاء کو رات بھر ٹھنڈے پانی میں بھگو دیں۔ ایک دن کے اندر استعمال کریں۔

چائے (یا مرکب)

مٹھی بھر جڑی بوٹیوں پر ایک لیٹر ابلتا ہوا پانی ڈالیں۔ کھڑے ہونے کے لیے چھوڑ دیں اور 15-20 منٹ کے بعد صاف کپڑے سے چھان لیں۔ ایک دن کے اندر استعمال کریں۔

   کاڑھی۔

ایک مٹھی بھر جڑی بوٹیاں ایک لیٹر پانی میں 20 منٹ تک ابالیں۔ صاف کپڑے سے چھان لیں۔ ایک دن کے اندر استعمال کریں۔

شربت

اگر جڑی بوٹیوں کا ذائقہ بہت کڑوا ہو تو اس کا شربت بنایا جا سکتا ہے۔ چائے یا کاڑھی تیار کرنے کے بعد مائع کو چھان لیں اور ایک کپ مائع میں ایک کپ چینی ملا دیں۔ اگر چینی کو تحلیل کرنے کے لئے ضروری ہو تو آہستہ سے گرم کریں۔ تین دن کے اندر استعمال کریں۔

ٹکنچر

ٹکنچر میں الکحل ہوتا ہے جو جڑی بوٹیوں کے عرق کو محفوظ رکھنے میں مدد کرتا ہے۔ اچھی کوالٹی کی دوائی الکحل استعمال کریں۔ عام طور پر 100 گرام ہربل مکسچر کو ایک لیٹر الکحل اور پانی کے مرکب (45-70% الکوحل) میں ملایا جاتا ہے۔ مکسچر کو گرم نہیں کیا جاتا بلکہ ایک بوتل میں ڈالا جاتا ہے اور فلٹر کرنے سے پہلے ایک ہفتہ تک گرم جگہ پر کھڑا رہنے دیا جاتا ہے۔ الکحل کی مقدار جتنی زیادہ ہوگی، ٹکنچر کو اتنا ہی لمبا رکھا جا سکتا ہے۔ 20% الکحل کے ساتھ، اسے دو سال کے لیے رکھنا چاہیے: 40% یا اس سے زیادہ الکحل کا مطلب ہے کہ یہ پانچ سال تک رکھے گا۔

مرہم

مرہم خالص سبزیوں کا تیل اور موم استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ اچھی کوالٹی کا پام آئل جو تازہ جمع اور پراسیس شدہ تیل کے کھجور کی گٹھلیوں سے بنایا گیا ہے بہت موزوں ہے۔ آپ زیتون کا تیل، مونگ پھلی کا تیل یا شیا بٹر آئل بھی استعمال کر سکتے ہیں۔

پتوں کو خشک کرکے باریک پاؤڈر میں پیس لیں۔ ایک کپ اس پاؤڈر کو نو کپ تیل میں ملا دیں۔ دو برتنوں سے بنے پانی کے غسل میں مکسچر کو گرم کریں۔ بڑا بیرونی برتن ایک چوتھائی پانی سے بھرا ہوا ہے اور اسے چولہے پر رکھا گیا ہے۔ تیل اور پودوں کے مواد کو ایک چھوٹے اندرونی برتن میں ڈھکن کے ساتھ رکھا جاتا ہے۔ اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں کہ بیرونی برتن سے پانی اندرونی برتن میں داخل نہ ہو سکے۔ پانی کو ابالنے دیں اور 60 منٹ تک ابالیں۔

پانی کے غسل کا استعمال کیے بغیر ایسا کرنے کی کوشش نہ کریں، کیونکہ زیادہ گرم ہونے سے تیل خراب ہو جاتا ہے۔ تیل کو سوتی کپڑے سے چھان لیں جب تک یہ گرم ہو۔ ایک کپ گرم، صاف موم شامل کریں (بیز ویکس، کمرشل ویکس یا موم بتیاں استعمال کریں) جب کہ تیل ابھی بھی گرم ہو، اور ایک منٹ تک ہلائیں۔

وارننگ!

دواؤں کے پودوں کے استعمال میں خطرات اور مضر اثرات ہوتے ہیں۔ ہر جڑی بوٹی کے ساتھ ساتھ ہر کیمیائی مادہ کے اثرات کی ایک حد ہو سکتی ہے۔ اہم اثر ایک مریض کے لیے مثبت، دوسرے کے لیے منفی اور تیسرے کے لیے خطرناک بھی ہو سکتا ہے۔ مثال کے طور پر، ایک پودا جو کم بلڈ پریشر کے لیے اچھا ہے، ہائی بلڈ پریشر والے شخص کی جان لے سکتا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ، پودے میں فعال اجزاء کی مقدار مختلف قسم، موسم یا پودے کی عمر کے مطابق مختلف ہو سکتی ہے۔ اس وجہ سے ہم ان جڑی بوٹیوں کی ترکیبیں استعمال کرنے کے کسی بھی نتائج کے لیے ذمہ دار نہیں ٹھہر سکتے۔ ہم صرف اتنا کر سکتے ہیں کہ آپ کو ہوشیار اور محتاط رہنے کی ترغیب دی جائے۔

Persimmon-Diospyros kaki : Appetizer, sialagogue. The stem bark is astringent and styptic. The fruit is said to have different properties depending on its stage of ripeness, though it is generally antitussive, astringent, laxative, nutritive and stomachic. The fresh fully ripe fruit is used raw in the treatment of constipation and haemorrhoids and when cooked is used to treat diarrhoea. 

The dried ripe fruit is used in the treatment of bronchial complaints, whilst when ground into a powder it is used to treat dry coughs. Juice from the unripe fruit is used in the treatment of hypertension. 

The fruits, picked green and ripened in containers with the leaves, become very sweet and are considered to be antifebrile, antivinous and demulcent. The fruits are also peeled and then exposed to sunlight by day and dew by night. They become encrusted with a white powder and are then considered to be anthelmintic, antihaemorrhagic, antivinous, expectorant, febrifuge and restorative. The peduncle is used to treat coughs and hiccups. The calyx is used to treat hiccups.
